This quick course includes all that staff need to know about fire safety awareness. They will even practice a fire risk assessment. All staff must receive fire safety awareness training when they start work and regular refresher training throughout their employment.

Fire Action signQuick and effective action may help to ease the situation and reduce the consequences of a fire. However, in emergencies people are more likely to respond reliably if they:

  • are well trained and competent
  • take part in regular and realistic practice
  • have clearly agreed, recorded and rehearsed plans, actions and responsibilities

  • Types of fires and fire prevention
  • Evacuation procedures
  • Action when fire occurs
  • Sounding the alarm
  • Calling the fire service
  • Action on arrival of the fire service
  • Fire drills

Certificates of attendance will be issued on completion of the course.
